Pontacol develops, manufactures and sells thermoplastic adhesive films for industrial applications in the textile, composite, electronics, ballistic protection and personal care markets. Pontacol has both state-of-the-art blown film extrusion, flat film extrusion and extrusion coating equipment to support their extensive product portfolio and with the capability to create bespoke solutions for even the most challenging situations. 

Composites

Composite applications are often exposed to extreme weathering or mechanical stress. The adhesive films specially developed for composite applications achieve greater strength on a permanent basis than a conventional adhesive system.

Multiple composite use cases can be supported including aluminium honeycomb panels, metal-polymer hybrid lightweight parts and for the bonding of various polymers withstand the highest loads.  

Electronics

Multilayer adhesive films bring the desired functionality to the point or to the surface in a hair-fine and consistently dosed manner. The broad adhesion spectrum and the ability to bond even incompatible materials without pretreatment are another plus for the use of adhesive films in electronics.

Lightweight films with virtually no weight drift across width and length enable precise application of adhesive compound to even the smallest parts and areas in increasingly complex electronic devices such as die attach for IC packaging and other components within cell phones and tablets.
